Motivation:

I am highly motivated to receive a laptop as it is vital for my academic success and personal development. As an NSFAS student, I am grateful for the support I receive for living and book allowance. However, NSFAS does not provide funding for laptops, and unfortunately, I am unable to afford one on my own due to financial constraints. With the book allowance that I received I was only able to afford four textbooks. I was raised by a single parent who is currently unemployed, and this has made it incredibly difficult for me to access the necessary resources to fully engage in my studies and with that said, I have been performing at an average student level, which is caused by using my cellphone for online test and quizzes. Sometimes my phone just freezes in the middle of the test and that’s how I fail to reach my full potential. A laptop would significantly improve my ability to complete assignments, conduct research, and participate in online learning, which has become even more important in my field of study. The ability to work from home and access digital tools would allow me to stay on top of my academic work, collaborate effectively with my peers, and continue building the skills necessary for my future career. Receiving this laptop would help level the playing field for me, ensuring that I am not held back by financial limitations. It will not only assist me in achieving academic success but will also empower me to use technology to improve my future prospects. I am committed to using this resource responsibly and effectively to achieve my goals.
