Motivation:

I am a 22 year old and I dropped out of school in 2014 after completing my grade 11. I couldn't continue to do matric because I had to work to take care of my mother and siblings. I couldn't stand hearing my mother crying every single night because of the situation we were in so I sacrificed my education so there could be food on the table and get clothes especially for my siblings. I have been working since 2015 and I've managed to make our lives better, we are not rich but we have a decent home to stay in, we eat every night and I can take my siblings to school and most importantly my mother doesn't cry the way she used to before. Now I want to take myself back to school, I want to pursue my dreams of being a Chemical engineer. I therefore have decided to do the N3 at Ekurhuleni Tech. I will be enrolling into the 3rd Trimester and write the November exams then next year start on my N4 to N6 in Chemical engineering. I want to do all this and still be able to provide for my family and I, so I will have to study online and to do this I need to have a laptop. With the fees I already have to pay for my studies and the rest of the responsibilities I have a laptop does not fit into my budget and that could make it difficult for me to pursue my studying plans, I might even have to cancel the whole plan altogether and move my dream further away. I would really appreciate getting a laptop donation from this program, it could be the one little key to unlock all my dreams.
